Hajjat Hanifah Karadi, a renowned community mobilizer and Commander of the Nkuyege Think Tank, marked her birthday on Thursday by dedicating the day to serving vulnerable families in Kawempe, reaffirming her commitment to community development and social welfare.
The celebrations took place at Kawempe Home Based CareGivers Alliance, where dozens of disadvantaged families received clothes, household items, and other essential support through the Hanifah Karadi Mothering Community Foundation.
Rather than hosting a lavish birthday party, Karadi chose to spend the day among ordinary citizens and Children sharing meals, distributing relief items, and interacting with beneficiaries. The gesture drew praise from community members and local leaders who described her as a leader whose actions reflect compassion and service.
Among those in attendance were NRM Chairman Kyebando Kisalosalo Emma Turinawe Emmanuel, popularly known as Commander 001, and Kawempe North Woman LC5 Councilor Nalongo Namara Annet, who joined beneficiaries in celebrating the occasion.
Speaking during the event, attendees commended Karadi for consistently prioritizing the welfare of vulnerable groups, particularly women, children, the elderly, and low-income families.
Over the years, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi has built a reputation as a grassroots leader and advocate for community empowerment. Through various charity initiatives and social outreach programs, she has supported vulnerable households, promoted youth engagement, and championed causes aimed at improving livelihoods within Kampala and beyond.
As Commander of the Nkuyege Think Tank, Karadi has been involved in mobilization efforts that encourage patriotism, community participation, and support for government development programs. Her foundation has also spearheaded several humanitarian activities, including food distribution drives, support for disadvantaged mothers, and assistance to vulnerable community groups.
